Pastor Calvin Hopkins
Pastor Calvin B. Hopkins is the pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Snellville, GA. Pastor Hopkins was born in Loganville, GA and raised in the Baptist denomination. He was born again in 1988. Responding to the call of God upon his life, he attended Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA. He learned a great deal from his father in the ministry, Dr. Richard B. Haynes. Pastor Hopkins was ordained and started his ministerial career at Salem. Pastor Hopkins has a lovely, spirit-filled wife, Carol. They have been joined together in spiritual marital bliss since 1978. From this union they have two children, Shameka and Tory. They have five grand children, Micah, Gabriel, Jurnie, Sariah and Kaleb.
In 1999, God led Pastor Hopkins to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church a charismatic church that is on fire for Jesus in Snellville, GA. From his first service with a few members, Shiloh has grown in membership with the vision to influence its community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through both the church and the weekly studies, Pastor Hopkins’s deep revelation of the Word of God challenges and inspires believers into a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. His passionate preaching style causes the Word of God to come alive in the hearts of the people. This dynamic, life changing ministry is committed to training and equipping believers to a deeper relationship with God.
God has been and will continue to be the head of Pastor Hopkins life. As Pastor, Shepherd, Prophet, and Spiritual leader all accurately describes Pastor Hopkins. His love for God and God’s church are the reason Shiloh will continue to grow and reap the benefits of his wisdom.
Sister Carol Hopkins was raised in Snellville, GA where she and her mother, Mrs. Connie Everson attended Shiloh Baptist Church. Sister Hopkins grew up knowing that Jesus was her “Strong Tower”. Her quiet demeanor and humble spirit have been a comfort to all she meets. As the First Lady of Shiloh Baptist Church, her love for God and God’s people continues to bless the Shiloh congregation.
Sister Hopkins graduated from Clarkston First Baptist Bible Institute with a certificate in Biblical Studies. She freely gives of herself at Shiloh through teaching the New Membership Class, serving as the Women’s Ministry Leader, and sharing God’s Word through song.
